Project Description: The corner of Fairbanks Avenue and Orlando Avenue
is a major gateway intersection in the City. The City’s
desire was to see a signature building at this location.
When Walgreens proposed to build it typical prototype
store, the City hired Martin & Vargas DESIGN to develop
a concept that was more representative of the
City. Using the City’s old historic freight depot as an
inspiration, the new design makes a dramatic statement
on the corner. Following completion of the design, we
continued to assist the city in design review to assure
that competed building met the concept intent.
